Thermocouple cables are categorised into thermocouple and extension types. PVC (220ºF) is a good general purpose cable, PFA (480ºF) has good chemical and oil resistance, Fibreglass (890ºF) is good for industrial use at higher temperatures and Silicon Rubber (390ºF) is a good choice if a very flexible cable is required.
