Application for Barrier Terminal Blocks
These interconnecting Thermocouple Barrier Terminal Blocks are terminal strips suitable for use with all thermocouple temperature sensors as well as Copper for other sensors such as RTD’s. Each single
block comes complete with terminal lugs and end caps. All are color coded as shown for easy identification and are temperature rated to 425ºF.
TL Spare Terminal Lugs
Terminal Lug Spares for Barrier Terminal Strips
Whilst BTS thermocouple terminal blocks are supplied complete with terminal lugs, it is possible to purchase them separately as spares or for a new application.
Terminal Lug Construction
All lugs are made from the relevant thermocouple material. Terminal Lugs are spares for the Barrier Terminal Strip itself fitted via the screw terminals.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are thermocouple connectors, and why are they important? Thermocouple connectors are used to connect thermocouples to measurement devices or other equipment. They provide a reliable connection for transmitting the temperature signal from the sensor while ensuring accurate and consistent readings. The choice of connector material and temperature rating is crucial to ensure that the connector performs well in various environments, especially at high temperatures.
What are the different temperature ratings available for your thermocouple connectors? We offer thermocouple connectors in three temperature ratings: 425ºF, 660ºF, and 1200ºF. The temperature rating you need will depend on the maximum temperature the connector reaches. For most applications, the 425ºF rated connector is suitable, while for more demanding applications with higher ambient temperatures, the 660ºF or even 1200ºF ceramic connectors are better suited.
Do you offer accessories for thermocouple connectors? Yes, we offer a wide range of accessories for thermocouple connectors, including sensor and cable supports and adaptors, mounting brackets and protective covers. These accessories are designed to enhance the functionality and reliability of our thermocouple connectors, ensuring ease of installation and long-lasting performance. If you need specific recommendations, feel free to contact our engineers for assistance.
What is a thermocouple connector panel? A thermocouple connector panel is a centralised unit designed to house multiple thermocouple connectors, allowing for organised and efficient connection of multiple thermocouple sensors to measurement equipment. It streamlines the wiring process and ensures secure, reliable connections in applications requiring multiple thermocouples. Available in both aluminium and stainless steel, these panels come in various configurations and capacities to suit different needs.
